Before we found out if Halle was going to be a boy or a girl people would always say "Hopefully you'll finally get a girl". I know the comments weren't meant in a bad way but I resented them in a way. I would think to myself - obviously you don't know my boys because they are amazing and I'd take another little boy in a heartbeat! I always told Ian, if I never had a girl I would be ok with that. I truly believe you end up with the kids you are meant to have. When we found out we were in fact having a girl of course we were ecstatic! I was always wondering what our daughter would be like since we had 2 boys and our boys are completely different from each other! Well, she's been with us for almost 2 months now and she is so much more than I ever could have imagined! She adds such a sweet presence to our home. It's hard to describe but I know we all feel it. The boys are so sweet with her, it makes my heart melt! She is feisty and sweet and all girl! I just love my little family! I know my kids won't be little for very long and I just want to soak up every minute of this time in my life!

We try to teach our kids all about life, but they teach us what life is all about!

Brock says his job is to protect her and love her! He adores his little sis.

Sawyer is pretty fond of baby Halle too. He likes to rub her head and give her kisses!

Our sweet little Halle was born on August 26, 2011. We went in for an induction that morning and she was born at 12:03 p.m. she was 7 lbs 7 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. The labor went really smooth and quick. I was happy that she was born in time for me to get lunch :) Her brothers were really excited to meet her! They both adore her and are very proud. She is such a little angel! We are all head over heels in love with her. She truly is our little princess. She is amazing and gorgeous and we just can't get enough of her! Everyone is adjusting well and even though she's only been with us for a little over a week I can't imagine what we would do without her! We feel so blessed to have her in our family. Thank you to all of our friends and family for your love, support and help. We love you and are so glad to have you in our (and Halle's) lives.

It's August, I can't believe it! It's crazy to think that before the month is over we'll have our sweet baby girl!! I have been wanting to post some pictures of her room so here they are :) I got the colors from the quilt. I also painted and distressed all the furniture. It was quite a project but it needed a facelift and I'm happy with how it turned out. The only thing we are missing now is our little princess!

We had lots of fun at all the Fiesta Days events this year! We started with the carnival, then the rodeo, car show (and yummy food at the park), craft show, had a BBQ, did some fireworks and of course the parade! (I don't know why the pictures uploaded in random order) I can't believe July is coming to an end. We have a lot to look forward to in August so it's ok! If we haven't had the baby by August 26th I will go in for an induction, yay!!

We went in for a 3D ultrasound today. Baby Girl wasn't cooperating for most of it! She wanted to hide her face with her hands so it was hard to get a good shot of her face. On the DVD that they made us you can see her smiling and you can actually see her blinking! It's amazing how much you are able to see. She is doing great and they said she is about 3 lbs! I'm still hanging in there too :) I'm actually glad that I don't have a newborn right now because me and the boys have big plans for the summer. Still can't wait to meet our little girl though!

Stick 'em up!

These are some of the monster eggs we colored and decorated the night before Easter. Brock picked them out and they were really fun to make! They turned out better than I expected.

We had a really fun Easter weekend this year! It started with brunch and a fun egg/prize hunt at Gram and Pop's house. Then we went home and decorated eggs and woke up to everything the Easter Bunny left. They got lots of treats and other little prizes, colored bubbles, sidewalk chalk, squirt guns, a soccer ball, some new shirts and shorts and a swimming suit (which we can't wait to use). I love watching the boys get so excited about everything, they loved it! It's crazy to think that next year we'll have another little one running around with us.

Long legs!

We went in for our 20 week ultrasound today. Everything looked really good and the measurements were right on track. It's definitely still a girl but I'll keep her modest! Ian kept telling me we were going to go in and find out it is really a boy! We finally made a believer out of him and now he is ok with painting her room :) Can't wait to start that project. We are 95% sure we are going to name her Halle. That's the name that always comes to mind when I think about her. We get to go in again in about 8 weeks for a full 3-D ultrasound. I love seeing our little sweet pea moving around and growing, so fun!

Brock's 5th Birthday!!

Brock turned 5 this year!! He picked a pirate theme for his party and it was lots of fun! We had a little mix up with the bakery that made the cake (they didn't order the right topper for his cake) so it ended up different than we thought. Brock was happy with it so that's all that matters!

We got him the turtle pillow pet that he wanted. He was pretty excited!! He also got a new Jazz hat, a t-ball set, mit & ball, bubble set, a racetrack with cars, shirts, a skateboard, lots of treats and some rockets to shoot outside.

He loved every minute of it! He got to celebrate with grandparents and cousins which was great. I can't believe he is already 5. It seems like such a big milestone. We will be registering him for Kindergarten next week, it's crazy!! He is such a sweet, smart, handsome little boy and we couldn't be more proud of him. It's amazing how much our lives changed when his began. I am so grateful to be his mom and to be able to watch him grow up. We love you Brock!!!

We found out today that we are expecting a GIRL!!! She was being a little stubborn at first but we were finally able to get a good peek between the legs. It is always such a relief to see the baby moving around and looking healthy. I am so excited to have another girl in the house and a future shopping buddy! Ian is mostly excited but also a little scared (mostly for the teenage years). I think he is feeling relieved too. He was feeling the pressure since he wanted me to have a little princess :) Brock is so happy to have a little sister!! After having Sawyer he decided another brother would be too much. He thinks a little girl will be nicer, we'll see! Sawyer doesn't really care at this point but he is such a sweetie, I know he'll do great as a big brother. I can't wait to see how this baby is different from the boys. Bring on the pink!!

Our Little Peanut

We found out on Christmas that we are expecting baby #3! We are so excited to add to our family. I had an ultrasound earlier this week and everything looks great. Little Peanut is right on track! The official due date is 9-1-11 although my doctor says he would prefer to induce me a week early unless baby decides to come before then. He's afraid if I go into labor I might not make it to the hospital in time :) Brock can't wait and he is convinced he's getting a little sister this time. I'll be finding out as soon as possible and I'll keep everyone posted!!

Clark Planetarium

Brock has been really interested in space lately so we decided to take the boys to the Clark Planetarium. It was really cool and they loved it! There were lots of things to look at and some fun hands-on exhibits too. It was a really good Saturday with the family.

Brock wanted his picture by Jupiter. He says it's his favorite planet because it has 63 moons! His knowledge of space and planets is pretty amazing. He has been teaching me lots of new things!

Christmas 2010

Sawyer got a new ride for Christmas! He figured it out right away and loves it! He had a hard time getting all of his presents open because he was having too much fun to stop playing!

Brock loved opening all the presents! He was getting frustrated with Sawyer being so slow. At least that made it last longer!

Brock got the Lotso bear that he wanted from Toy Story 3, a Leapster with some games, a D Will jersey, Toy Story playset, Legos, Monster truck Mater, a game, color wonder and a movie. He also got some gift cards from grandparents so he could pick out whatever he wanted and some spelling blocks and coins.

Sawyer got a Buzz Lightyear 4 wheeler, Jazz jersey, Toy Story Duplos, some cars and tucks, an Aquadoodle, Moon dough, color wonder and a view master. He also got gift cards from grandparents so he could pick whatever he wanted and a wooden ball/hammer toy and some coins.

It was so fun to watch the boys open their presents! They are at the perfect ages for Christmas. They loved everything!! We had a great Christmas, hope you did too!

Sawyer is 2!!!

My sweet little Sawyer turned 2 on December 19th. I can't believe it!! He is such a fun little boy. It seems like he has grown up a lot in the last few months. He is learning so much! He loves being the center of attention and is developing quite a personality! It seems like he is constantly making us laugh. I am proud to say that he inherited my sarcasm gene :) Ian isn't so sure that's a good thing! We just love having him as part of our family.

This is him modeling the hat that Uncle Shane got him! He had such a great time opening presents and loved everything he got!

Since Dustin, Shane and Sawyer all have birthdays so close together we did a combined party this year. I made all the boys a balloon cake. Sawyer LOVES balloons so that was the theme.

He actually did pretty well with the cake and didn't make a huge mess.

Brock the Rockstar Vampire and Sawyer the Pirate

They had lots of fun dressing up and getting candy! We went trick-or-treating on Friday at Ian's office and at the grandparents houses Saturday. The boys looked so cute in their costumes!

This is me doing my best Madonna impression! I love piecing everything together to make a fun costume. It's rare for us to dress up for Halloween so it was really fun!

I love celebrating Pioneer Day in Spanish Fork! I have memories of the celebrations when I was a kid and I love that I am making those memories with my own kids now. It is something I look forward to every year. We went to the rodeo too but I didn't get pictures of that. Brock was so excited to see the real cowboys and clowns. Sawyer had fun too, even though he spent most of the time out of his seat! It was great to have lots of family time. If only we could get summer to slow down...

Father's Day at the Hogle Zoo!

We have an annual family tradition to go to the zoo on Father's Day. It is so great to spend the day with Dad! He works so hard for our family. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun!

I am so grateful for all of the men in my life that my boys have as an example.

This is how Brock & Sawyer spent most of the day on Sunday. It was such a nice HOT day we decided to go out and cool off with a fun new sprinkler! Every time Sawyer sees a ball he gets so excited so this was perfect for him. You can roll it around or just run around it. They loved it!

Action shot! Sawyer wasn't too sure about getting sprayed in the face at first but it only took a minute for him to decide it was pretty fun. Brock loved it! He was running and dancing around and he thought it was fun to pick up and roll the ball around.

We sure had a fun SUNday! We are looking forward to lots of swimming and playing in the water this summer!

Brock had his preschool "graduation" today! They had a program where they sang a couple songs and showed us some of the things they learned through the year. They also had a balloon for each of the kids with their name and what they want to be when they grow up written on it. We thought for sure Brock's would say he wants to be a cowboy but he said he wants to be a Dad when he grows up, awwww! After the program they took the balloons outside and let them go. It was so cute and Brock did a great job! Love you buddy!

He found lots of eggs! Some of them even had money inside.

Sawyer was getting in on the fun too! He loved breaking the eggs open to see what was inside. It was so cute to see him carrying around his bucket!

The Easter Bunny left a trail of yarn all over the house to lead us to the baskets! It started upstairs and we followed it all over. There were a few little prizes along the way.

Sawyer kept tangling himself up in the yarn. He didn't understand what was going on but he was loving it anyway!

The baskets were out in the trunk of Dad's car! Brock thought that was pretty funny! They got bubbles, pinwheels, some shorts and shirts, swimming suits and some color changing cars. I love making memories with my boys, so fun! Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

We had a SpongeBob themed party. I made him the Krabby Patty cake!

He didn't waste any time tearing into the presents! He was loving every minute of it!

He got a Mack! I think he got everything he wanted and he was so excited about it all. It was so fun to watch! He got a bunch of new Cars, including a color change set, a golf club set, SpongeBob play doh, a Toy Story kite and frisbee, a Hamm from Toy Story, 2 sets of Toy Story Legos that he has been wanting since Christmas, some shirts and a bunch of money.

This is what the Lego sets look like put together. He has been playing with them all day! Legos were not this cool when I was a kid!

I can't believe Brock is already 4 years old! We had a little family party for him on his birthday, March 30th. He is such a great kid! He is so sweet and scary smart! We are so proud of him and even though it is sad that he is growing so fast, you can't help being excited for him! He told me the other day that even when he grows up and becomes a dad he will still give me hugs and kisses and he will come help me fix stuff! I love this kid so much!!! Happy Birthday Brocky!!

Over the weekend we decided to go to an egg hunt in Salt Lake at This is the Place Heritage Park. It ended up being really crowded and not much fun so we ended up going to the Hogle Zoo instead! It is right across the street so it was an easy decision! It was a little chilly outside but still lots of fun! We usually go during the summer when it is super hot and the animals are being lazy so it was fun to see them in a different season.

We went on a fun trip to St George over the weekend. On Friday we went to a place just outside of Mesquite called the Valley of Fire to go riding. It was great to be out in the sun! The kids loved being able to spend some time outside. On Saturday we went riding at Sand Hollow which is just north of St George. It rained about half of that day but we still had a great time. Playing out in the warm weather has given us Spring fever even more!

Christmas 2009 (Finally!)

Sawyer with his new firetruck car. It was a big hit! He loves to climb in and out of it. Most of the time he just bypasses the door and uses the window! He was so cute when he saw it. He doesn't get the concept of Christmas yet but he loved every minute of it!

Brock got the Buzz Lightyear jet-pack that he asked Santa for. The look on his face was priceless! He is such a good boy, he deserved everything he got!

Opening presents! Sawyer was fine taking his time. Brock had to open most of Sawyer's presents too because it was driving him crazy waiting!

Sawyer turned 1 on December 19th. We are still trying to figure out where the year has gone! He has accomplished a lot in one year. He started walking a little more than a month ago and has been non-stop ever since! He is such a good natured little guy. He always has a smile for us and he is great at giving loves and slobbery kisses! He is very determined and always seems to figure out how to do what he wants. It's fun to see his personality develop. He is starting to say a few words (Dada, Mama, Dog, Kitty, Nana). He LOVES to eat! I swear most of the time he eats more than Brock! His other favorite thing to do is carry stuff around and hide it from us! We just love this little guy so much and look forward to what the next year brings.

I guess it's been a while since I posted anything! We went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot, ID, had fun at the Harvest Moon Hurrah in Spanish Fork, Cornbelly's, picked out pumpkins at the Red Barn, and lots of fun Halloween activities. We have done lots of fun things this Fall!

First Day of Preschool!

Our little Brock started preschool today! He was sooo excited. We have been talking about it for months but I can't believe it is already here! When we got there he was a little timid but he warms up quick. I did better than I thought I would, no crying! I was mostly just excited for him and so proud of what an amazing little boy he is. I know he is going to love it! He is so smart and loves to learn. My baby is growing up, it's kind of bitter sweet.

Getting in to trouble!

Watch out here he comes! Sawyer is now almost 8 1/2 months and is crawling all over the place! He has been scooting and doing the army crawl for quite a while now but about a week or so ago he starting crawling! He also started pulling himself up to everything. We are always amazed how determined and persistent he is. If there is something on the coffee table he wants he pulls himself and grabs whatever he can get his hands on! He also tries to walk around the table to get to what he wants, it doesn't phase him at all if he falls in the process. We are thinking it won't be long and he'll be climbing up the stairs, he already tries. He is loving tasting all kinds of new foods and feeding himself. His 2 bottom teeth finally came through. He loves to point and feel things with his index finger, it is so funny. He claps when he is proud of himself and says Dada and occasionally Mama. It seems like he has grown up so much in the past month! It is sad to see my baby getting so big and more independent but at the same time it is so fun to watch him learn and go through new phases. He is still the happiest little guy ever, just watch out for the mischievous twinkle in those blue eyes! We love this little guy so much!!!

As usual our 24th was super busy but SO fun! We went to Marysvale for a couple days with Brad & Jana to ride the Rhino and Razr on the Paiute trail. We had a blast! Brock absolutely LOVED every minute of it! Sawyer got to go too and the noise and movement put him to sleep most of the time. We had to come back to Spanish Fork so we wouldn't miss out on Fiesta Days. My little cowboy was so excited about going to the rodeo and he thought it was so cool to see the real cowboys. He kept telling us he wanted to ride a sheep at the rodeo but I had to tell him he isn't quite old enough yet. His response "I wanna ride a bull then!" We went to the parade and carnival on the 24th and even though it was hot we had a great time together! The only sad thing to me about the 24th is it seems like as soon as that is over with it is back to school time before you know it and summer is over :(

This is Sawyer after his first haircut. Ian has been saying for a while now that he really needed it done but I was putting it off. I don't want my baby to look too grown up! It finally got to the point where I had to give in, it was getting pretty crazy! He definitely looks older but he looks really handsome too! At least we can comb it now :)

All he has to do is give you the smile and everything is ok!

How can a baby who can't even crawl get into so much trouble? This morning Sawyer was laying on the floor drinking his bottle and next thing I know he has rolled his way about 10 feet over to the toys! He managed to get into Brock's play food that was in a tote with a snapping lid! He got it opened and dumped out. He was pretty happy with himself! I think we are in trouble with this one!

I haven't blogged for a while since we have been too busy having fun! So here are some pics of what we have been up to. Brock is loving summer and playing outside non-stop! Sawyer is now 6 months old and he is happy with just about everything! At his last check up he was 19 lbs and 28 inches. What a big boy! We are loving being able to just play outside (as long as it isn't raining) and spend time as a family.

Memorial Weekend

We had a really fun Memorial Day weekend this year. Ian's sister Katie and her kids Jackson and Tatum came to visit from Idaho. We decided to have a mini family reunion while they were here, thanks to Brad & Jana (Ian's parents). On Saturday we went to the sand dunes and rode around on the Rhino and Razor. Everyone had a blast! The kids got to go on some good rides and they had fun playing in the sand too. Then we went to Brad and Jana's for some pizza and hot tubbing. On Sunday we got together for brunch and then went to Canyon View park for family pictures and ended with a BBQ at our house. Then Monday Brad & Jana took us to Lagoon. It was so much fun! Brock loved the rides and had so much fun playing with his cousins. It was nice to have some good family time. Thanks again Grandma and Papa!

Another month is gone and my sweet little Sawyer is now 4 months old. He went in for his check-up today and he is 16 lbs 4 oz and 27 inches. He is growing like a weed! He is seriously the happiest baby EVER! He didn't even cry when he got shots. He always has a smile for us and he squeals and laughs a lot too. He is really ticklish and I can't resist bugging him because I love his cute little giggle! He is sleeping at least 8 hours at a time during the night so I feel so lucky! The record so far is 11 hours. I can't wait to see what the next month brings, I love you Soy Bean!

We had a really fun Easter this year! Brock loved it! We had a couple practice egg hunts the day before so he was all set. The Easter Bunny sent us on a treasure hunt too. We had to find clues and there were prizes at each place. It was fun to run from place to place and watch Brock get so excited! I love that he is so easy to please at this age! We also had a fun treasure hunt and dinner at Gram & Pop's house (Emily's parents). Brock loves spending time with his cousins aunts and uncles and of course Gram & Pop! The kids were spoiled as usual and our house is still a mess. Hope you all had a great day too!

Today is Brock's 3rd birthday! He had a fun party with the whole family! He got a swing set that was supposed to be put together yesterday but the weather didn't cooperate. We still had the BBQ we were planning even though it was cold. He got everything he wanted and he had so much fun! He is such a good kid! He loves tractors, dinosaurs, Toy Story, and he is into cowboy stuff right now (thanks to cowboy Woody). He is seriously so smart and he teaches me something new every day! I love spending time with him and watching him learn new things. Since the day he was born he has had a great personality! I can't believe it has been 3 years since I held my sweet baby boy for the first time. He is growing way too fast! Happy Birthday Brock! We love you!

So today is Sawyer's 3 month "birthday". Ian says there is no such thing but I disagree! Every new month is special at this age. He is the happiest baby ever! He is really smiley and coos and laughs, he seems to be pretty social so far. He started rolling from his tummy to his back about 2 weeks ago too. It is amazing how quick they change. When he went in for his 2 month doctor appointment he was 12 lbs 10 oz and 23 in, I'm sure he is even bigger now. He absolutely LOVES his big brother! Brock just has to look at him to get a huge smile. I feel so blessed to be his Mommy!

Last week Ian had to go to Los Angeles for business so me and the boys decided to tag along and go to Disneyland on Valentine's day. We had a great time but there is too much to do in one day. Brock loved all of the rides but he was most excited about the Buzz Lightyear ride! Sawyer is too little to care but he went on a few rides too! He slept through Pirates of the Carribean. We LOVE Disneyland, I would go every year if I could! It really is the happiest place on Earth!

Well, another month is almost over. Sawyer is now 6 weeks old, I can't believe it! He is growing SO fast and he is smiling a lot! It seems like it was just yesterday that we brought him home! At the same time it feels like he has been with us forever. That sounds weird, but I know all you moms can relate! January usually seems like such a long month but it went quick for me this year. We are sick of the cold and ready to play outside, but it hasn't been all bad. A bunch of our favorite TV shows are starting up again. We love American Idol, Lost and 24. We sound like couch potatoes, but it's too cold to do anything else! Anyway, hope you are all having a good year so far!

Brothers! This is Brock with Sawyer at 2 wks old. He is already 8 lbs 9 oz!
The best Christmas present ever! This is Sawyer in the stocking he got at the hospital.
I just thought I would share some pictures of our first 2 weeks with Sawyer. The transition from 1 child to 2 has been surprisingly easy. It seems like Sawyer is what has been missing, he is a great addition to our family! Brock has been a great helper and he is so sweet with his little brother. I love watching them together. You forget how quick they grow and I am trying to soak it all in! Ian is such an awesome Dad too and a huge help to me. Sometimes I don't know what I did to deserve him, he loves me and our boys so much! I feel so lucky and blessed to have all of my boys! What would I do without them?

Sawyer was born at 12:19 in the afternoon on December 19th. He was 7 lbs 12 oz and 21 inches. We went in that morning for an induction and everything went well. He is so adorable and has a very proud big brother! Brock has been amazing with him and wants to share all of his toys! Ian and I feel so blessed to have our 2 amazing boys and we couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone for your support and well wishes. We love you!

Dinosaur Museum

Father's Day at the Hogle Zoo

We started a new tradition last year of going to the Hogle Zoo on Father's Day. We went again this year and Brock had a blast! We had fun looking at all the animals. Brad and Jana came with us and we met Emily's brother Dustin and his wife Ashley and daughter Kaylie there. We decided that Father's Day is the perfect day for some good family time!

We are having a baby!

We are going to be adding to our family! We found out in April that we are expecting our second child. We are really excited! Brock has said from day one that he wants a girl, he is going to be an awesome big brother! We went in for a 3-D ultrasound at about 11 wks and they gave us an 85% chance that it's a girl but we will know for sure soon. The due date is December 26, 2008. Christmas baby! We will definitely have our Christmas shopping done early this year!

New House!

We bought a new house in December 2007. We are still in Spanish Fork, just further west than before. We have a lot more space now and we don't know how we fit in our old house. It was sad to move because of all the work we did at the old place but we are really enjoying the new house. We have definitely made it our own and it feels like home now. We painted everything before we moved in and we are now in the process of doing landscaping! We are starting completely from scratch which is both good and bad. It is a big job but we are getting there slowly! We are loving our new neighborhood because we live by a lot of young families. Brock has lots of new friends! The neighbors on both sides have boys his age. The back of our house borders a walking path that goes down to the Spanish Fork river so we have really enjoyed that too.
