Sawyer's 1st Birthday!

Trying out one of his new presents, he loves bath time!
Sawyer & Papa Brad at Jumpin' Jacks
Sawyer & Mommy
Opening some presents, he was happy just carrying them around!
We had a family Christmas party on his birthday! (Check out the new boots Brock gave him, he wants Sawyer to be a cowboy like him!)
Cake time! He devoured the entire thing!
Presents! He had fun celebrating with everyone.

Sawyer turned 1 on December 19th. We are still trying to figure out where the year has gone! He has accomplished a lot in one year. He started walking a little more than a month ago and has been non-stop ever since! He is such a good natured little guy. He always has a smile for us and he is great at giving loves and slobbery kisses! He is very determined and always seems to figure out how to do what he wants. It's fun to see his personality develop. He is starting to say a few words (Dada, Mama, Dog, Kitty, Nana). He LOVES to eat! I swear most of the time he eats more than Brock! His other favorite thing to do is carry stuff around and hide it from us! We just love this little guy so much and look forward to what the next year brings.
Happy Birthday Soy Bean, we ♥ you!!!

First Day of Preschool!

Our little Brock started preschool today! He was sooo excited. We have been talking about it for months but I can't believe it is already here! When we got there he was a little timid but he warms up quick. I did better than I thought I would, no crying! I was mostly just excited for him and so proud of what an amazing little boy he is. I know he is going to love it! He is so smart and loves to learn. My baby is growing up, it's kind of bitter sweet.
We love Brock so much!!!

No Fear + Determination = TROUBLE

Mama's Boy! (Hope that doesn't change!)
So proud of himself (can you see the little tooth?)
I think this look says it all!
That little pointer finger
Getting in to trouble!

Watch out here he comes! Sawyer is now almost 8 1/2 months and is crawling all over the place! He has been scooting and doing the army crawl for quite a while now but about a week or so ago he starting crawling! He also started pulling himself up to everything. We are always amazed how determined and persistent he is. If there is something on the coffee table he wants he pulls himself and grabs whatever he can get his hands on! He also tries to walk around the table to get to what he wants, it doesn't phase him at all if he falls in the process. We are thinking it won't be long and he'll be climbing up the stairs, he already tries. He is loving tasting all kinds of new foods and feeding himself. His 2 bottom teeth finally came through. He loves to point and feel things with his index finger, it is so funny. He claps when he is proud of himself and says Dada and occasionally Mama. It seems like he has grown up so much in the past month! It is sad to see my baby getting so big and more independent but at the same time it is so fun to watch him learn and go through new phases. He is still the happiest little guy ever, just watch out for the mischievous twinkle in those blue eyes! We love this little guy so much!!!

24th of July!

My cute little family
Brock was seriously in heaven!
Emily & Ian
Sawyer & Emily looking for big horn sheep
Sawyer at 10,000 feet
Brock & Papa Brad hiking
Brock with a bullfighter (don't know why this is sideways)
Brock & cousin Austin watching the parade, funny boys!
We want candy!
This is what Sawyer thought of the parade....
Riding the carousel
Fun ride!
Brock & Ian on the ferris wheel

As usual our 24th was super busy but SO fun! We went to Marysvale for a couple days with Brad & Jana to ride the Rhino and Razr on the Paiute trail. We had a blast! Brock absolutely LOVED every minute of it! Sawyer got to go too and the noise and movement put him to sleep most of the time. We had to come back to Spanish Fork so we wouldn't miss out on Fiesta Days. My little cowboy was so excited about going to the rodeo and he thought it was so cool to see the real cowboys. He kept telling us he wanted to ride a sheep at the rodeo but I had to tell him he isn't quite old enough yet. His response "I wanna ride a bull then!" We went to the parade and carnival on the 24th and even though it was hot we had a great time together! The only sad thing to me about the 24th is it seems like as soon as that is over with it is back to school time before you know it and summer is over :(

The Boys

This is Sawyer after his first haircut. Ian has been saying for a while now that he really needed it done but I was putting it off. I don't want my baby to look too grown up! It finally got to the point where I had to give in, it was getting pretty crazy! He definitely looks older but he looks really handsome too! At least we can comb it now :)

My brown eyed boy! He is growing way too fast!

Extreme close-up of the hair.

Sawyer sitting up all by himself! This was taken pre-haircut!

Brothers! Brock gave Sawyer one of his old hats so they could be twinners!

I think Sawyer is going to be my little fish. He loves the water! We have taken him swimming a couple times and he has so much fun splashing around.

Daddy and Sawyer chillin' in the pool.

The naked cowboy! I swear he would sleep in his hat and boots if I would let him! This is one of those future black mail pictures :)
